The Promise
Chapter 2: Konoha High school

        Whenever Naruto even hears her name he starts to blush. I remember the day when we were 13 he told me that he had a crush on Sakura…it was the same day I planned on telling him how I felt about him. When he told me I was hurt on the inside but I just smiled and told him I was happy for him. I didn't stay and talk to him after that, I just told him I had to go and ran home. I waited until I was out of sight to cry and ever since then I haven't ever told him that I really liked him…and ever since then that feeling kept getting stronger and stronger. It really makes me sad and heart broken…wishing that he would look at me that way… But his happiness is what really matters to me so I smile every time to hide the sadness and come up with an excuse to leave.

Me: I'm going to go to my locker…see you later *smile*
He finally comes out of his daydream when I start walking away.
Naruto: W-Wait up I'll go with you
Me: No you don-

As soon As I was about to get away three people come and stop me…

Sakura: Hinata! Hi Naruto!
   Name: Sakura
   Age: 17
Sakura: What's up! I've missed you! *hugs*
Me: *smiles and hugs* Hi Sakura…

Sakura and I are friends and that's what makes it even worse then it is… Sakura is part of the drama club her dream has always been to become an actress and become famous. Unlike her friend, Sakura is actually nice.

Ino: well look who it is the nerd and her friend…
    Name: Ino
    Age: 17  

Ino and I have never been close friends. Since I've known her she's always hated me and I don't even know why? Just like Sakura, Ino is in the Drama club and is also a cheerleader.

Naruto: Still the same old Ino …
Sasuke: Still the same Idiot Naruto
Naruto: SHUT UP Sasuke!
  Name: Sasuke
   Age: 18

Sasuke and Naruto have always been enemies since we were kids. Whatever Naruto did Sasuke had to be better. Even now they both are competitive especially in soccer. Naruto is the Vice Captain of the team and Sasuke is Captain. Naruto would get so angry after he would lose to Sasuke in fights but I've always been there to calm him down. Every girl I know, except me, has a crush on Sasuke…

Sakura: Hey come on guys it's the first day of school don't start fighting.
Naruto: You're right as always Sakura-Chan *blushing*
Sasuke: Whatever * puts arm around Sakura*

Did I forget to mention Sasuke is Dating Sakura? They've been dating since the first year of high school…which really hurts Naruto who every times sees them together gets jealous and I get sad watching him be jealous.

Me: I gotta go to the bathroom…
Sakura: Hold on I'll go with you
Ino: I'll go too!

We leave the boys and we go to the bathroom. Sakura and I talk while Ino does her make up.

Sakura: Wow you've really changed!
Me: Thanks^^
Ino: Your boobs got bigger and your hair got longer big deal! You're still a shy nerd and that won't change.
Sakura: Ino! Stop being mean! Apologize now!

Ino ignores her and continues to do her makeup…

Me: It's alright Sakura…her insults don't hurt me… I'd better head to class now.
Sakura: I'm going too
Ino: Sakura!

Sakura ignores her and say good bye to each other and we headed to our classes. I had English class with Naruto and got there before the bell rang.  The day went by slowly and was really boring. It was the same old lectures and same old rules as always. It was the last class and I couldn't wait for the day to end. I walk in to the class and all of a sudden I hear a whistle and someone wraps their arms around my waist so tightly that I couldn't even fight back. Then all of a sudden Naruto comes and punches him in the face.

Naruto: Kiba if you ever touch her again… I'll kill you…

I was so shocked I didn't know what to say…. He looked so serious and angry it was almost scary.

Kiba: *getting up* WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM UZUMAKI!!!
   Name: Kiba   Age: 17
Kiba is a Jerk who used to pick on me when I was in middle school and has always been a jerk since then. He use to date Ino but they ended it over the summer. He thinks that since he's on the football team he can get any girl he wants. And he's right… after Sasuke; Kiba is the guy every girl wants to date. I find him to be an obnoxious and disgusting and try to avoid him but looks like this year it won't be easy…
Before I knew it Naruto was going to go on a rampage. I grab his arm and tell him to stop.

Me: Naruto! He's not worth getting in trouble for! Stop!

That's when the teacher walks in and the bell rang…

Teacher: What's Going on here!
Kiba: Uzumaki punched me!
Naruto: You deserved it!
Teacher: Fighting on the first day?! Both of you Detention for a week!
Me: Wait! Naruto was only defending me! Kiba started it!
Teacher: You want to join them?! Detention for all three of you for a week! Now go take your seats!

There wasn't much to say after that… I couldn't believe I got detention on the first day! I went to my seat quietly which was between Sasuke and Naruto. Sasuke tried to insult Naruto but he was too busy giving me an "I'm sorry" look. I just sighed and thought that this already long day was going to be longer then expected…


**DETENTION**
After class was over everyone left except the three of us. The teacher told us to sit quietly for 45 minutes. I was sitting next to Naruto and Kiba was sitting in the desk in front of were Sasuke sat. Whenever the teacher wasn't looking, which was mostly all the time, Kiba would turn around and wink at me and raise his eye brow. I would turn away and look at Naruto, who so angry that his veins looked like they would pop out of his head, giving Kiba the middle finger. I couldn't help but smile and giggle. When the 45 minutes were over Kiba was the first to leave. After that Naruto and I left.

Naruto: I don't like him and I don't trust him… that stupid basta-
Me: Naruto… Thank you…
Naruto: For what! You know I'll always protect you! *Big Smile*

I couldn't help but smile and blush and hug him. After I let go He started to blush too while still smiling.

Naruto: are you coming to watch my practice?
Me: I can't today I've got work.
Naruto: Crap! If only I didn't have practice I would drive you there
Me: It's alright I'll be fine
Naruto: I know… but just be careful okay

  I wave good bye to him and start walking to work. I thought about what a long day this has been. I could tell I was blushing from what happened with Naruto protecting me. It was like he was jealous but I couldn't believe it. I just smiled all the way to work. I get my waitress uniform on and start working. Sakura and Sasuke were there eating and I said hi to them and after a couple minute Sakura had left. There was a guy holding the menu to his face so I go ask if he was ready to order. He put the menu down and it was…

Kiba: yeah I'll have a burger with a side of you *smirks*

I tried to walk away but he grabbed my hand and pulled me into his lap.

Kiba: Where do you think your going? Now tell me when did you get so pretty?

He kept playing with my hair I tried to get off him but he kept holding me tighter and tighter. Then all of a sudden someone stood in front of him

Kiba: What do you want?!  This isn't any of your business?!
Sasuke: Well it is now… let go of her…

Kiba looked at Sasuke and after a good minute he let go off me and I quickly got up and went to the bathroom crying. I couldn't believe how weak I was first Naruto had to protect me then Sasuke… but I wondered why Sasuke would help me knowing Naruto was my best friend… After what happened my boss banned Kiba from the restaurant and let me leave early. The next day I got to school having the same class from yesterday. Kiba didn't even look at me, Sasuke was already in his seat and so was Naruto who was arguing with him I interrupted them.

Me: Thanks for helping me yesterday Sasuke-kun.
Sasuke: It was nothing besides just did what any right person would do
Naruto: Hinata you knew where he was yesterday? And why are you thanking him for? What did he do? Are you okay?!

I looked at Naruto who was giving me his worried look. I didn't wan to tell him what happened yesterday… but the teacher walked in just in time…

Me: I'll tell you later…

Through the whole class Naruto kept looking at me worried but he wasn't the only one looking at me… from the corner of my eye Sasuke was looking at me… but why?
